Lumerai AI Readiness Model™

Are you ready to adopt and scale AI responsibly?

When to use LAIRM

Assess the organizational foundations required to adopt, govern, scale, and realize business value from AI. LAIRM connects technical readiness with leadership, ownership, workflows, people, and measurable outcomes.

Who it helps

Executive teams, boards, CIOs, transformation leaders, and private equity operating partners planning AI adoption or moving beyond pilots.

What we evaluate

  • Leadership — vision, sponsorship, priorities, funding, and accountability.
  • Governance — policies, oversight, ethics, data governance, and human review.
  • Data — quality, accessibility, integration, ownership, security, and lineage.
  • Operating Model — delivery, business ownership, workflow integration, and change management.
  • People & Culture — literacy, skills, workforce readiness, and adoption.
  • Technology — platforms, infrastructure, APIs, security, MLOps, and monitoring.
  • Risk & Compliance — privacy, bias, explainability, intellectual property, and third-party risk.
  • Value Realization — financial impact, productivity, customer outcomes, and KPI alignment.

Five stages of AI readiness

  • Exploring — experiments and individual pilots.
  • Foundational — initial governance, data improvements, and use cases.
  • Operational — production deployments with cross-functional ownership.
  • Advanced — measurable outcomes and enterprise portfolio governance.
  • AI Native — AI integrated into strategy, with responsible oversight and continuous optimization.

How decisions are interpreted

Each pillar is assessed on a 1–5 scale and summarized as a weighted 0–100 readiness score. Leadership, Governance, Data, and Value Realization receive additional emphasis. Higher scores indicate greater readiness. Findings identify adoption and governance priorities rather than promise a specific return.

What you receive

  • Executive readiness score and pillar-level heat map
  • Priority readiness and governance gaps
  • AI use-case and investment priorities
  • Practical adoption roadmap and executive recommendations
